Bump.

This happens to me, too. Really ticks me off since I just won on Deity.

However, in my case I'm using a mod that has Austria in it... on the other hand, I renamed the mod "conquests" and replaced the original file and it seems to 'fool' the program in all other aspects.

Anyone else having this problem?

My win on victory points was saved, but with "Name/Won" - ????

I know that if you make any change to the Bix/Bic/Biq file that the game won't save, I one changed the colour of one Civ and it would no longer save to the HOF.

I think that they use a checksum on the file to see if there haver been any changes. So if the file checksum doesn't match the value of the checksum of the unmodded Biq/Bic/Bix then there is cheated assumed and the game won't be recorded.

They made changes to the file for the patch, maybe the pre-patch checksum is still in place. Maybe new checksum will be applied with the official patch release.

My game has been played with version 1.12. And, it did save - with the strange rank entry, as stated above.

But, and that is what really gets me - why don't allow a modded game to save? If there is this checksum, then under rank it could be stated "changed settings".
I really get the impression that there is a big fraction at Firaxis, who don't like the idea that the players are doing something of their own. Seems to be an internal struggle between the ones who released the editor and the ones who think: Pay and play. But don't interfere with our divine decisions.

For now I will manually entry my game into the HOF.

I was going to suggest that because I have to do the same thing too. I have also edited the "labels.txt" file located in the Conquests Text folder to show wonder victories since the game doesn't originally display wonder victories as wonder victories :crazyeye: Here's the thread the shows how to edit the HoF:

I loaded "conquests.biq" into the editor, and the option to "restore default rules" was there. What did they change in the rules?

Weird. Seems to me *all* scores should go to the HOF, so that eventually only the highest ones are shown at the top of the list.

If it's somehow choosing which ones are eligible to be recorded or not, then that just seems wrong.

But then I also think disabling Aerial View to hide the fact there's no new City Improvement graphics is also wrong! ;)

If you are playing with an edited conquests.biq file then scores won't be automatically entered into the HoF. To have scores saved in the HoF with any edited rules then you have to do it manually. I know it's lame, but that's the way it is.

It may be, but my objection to it "is" as well. :)

I'd rather an option to filter out non-"epic game" scores, than simply ignoring them completely.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I'm penalized for playing Austria!

Actually, the odd thing is that usually modded games don't allow you to view the cities (overhead)... however, since I renamed my modded file to conquests, the city view option is enabled. Hmmm.....
