THIS IS BASED ON THE NEO NES 4 BY STALIN

Ok, it seems my long holiday break killed my last nes (stAmirNES: Prophecies) sinse my father came over from Israel and I wanted to spend more time with him sinse I dont see him often... BUT he has left yesterday (:() and I have a little bit more time to start modding a nes again. And so here it is, the remake of NEO NES 4, the nes that I think surpassed all the neo neses (not including #6 currently). Now it will be done NEO NES style, very historically accurate, but realistic. :)

NOW PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CONTINUING TO READ THIS THREAD:
1.) Join to have fun, not just to win. This is a story nes with some spicy rules (not exactly the same as NEO NES 4) and will need you to have fun to play it.
2.) Join only if you have time. I do NOT want anyone joining just becuase it looks good but they dont have time to play the game through. I dont want people quiting after the 2nd update.
3.)Please read ALL OF THE RULES THOROUGHLY. If you have questions, please feel free to ask.
4.) Updates will be roughly every 2 days to leave in diplo and stuff. Please be responsible and get orders in before I update. I will NOT chase you down for orders or remind you. I will answer diplo as fast as possible and will update as fast as possible. I will NOT keep track of those who DO NOT post thier orders, so you will be ignored.
5.) Read the rules, have fun, and have good sportsmanship. :)

--RULES--
NOTE: Ok, now I will try to keep these as NEO NES 4 accurate as possible, but I think the economy is boring and should be changed, and so I will add some different ways of economy to spice this up more.

ECONOMY-
Ok, this will go by Gold Denarii (the currency of the Roman Empire). Your economy is regulated by your taxes and your trade (thats all for right now, more oppertunities later).

Taxes can be raised or lowered. Depending on your population when you increase it I will determine exactly how much it raises or lowers. The higher it is then the more unhappy your people will be.

Trade is almost like NEO NES 6 but not quite, this will be more simple, but better as the game moves on. You can have as many trade routes with a nation as you want.
One route costs 20 gold upfront. Every turn they give 0-5 gpt depending on length of route, quality, different of products and stuff like that. Soon better oppertunities will arise to improve this.

EDUCATION-
This will go by levels, just like NEO4. Though this will be increased a little bit differently. All you have to do is spend half of your turn's income. So if your income is 100 then the cost is 50. This may seem alot but what your getting is alot too. You will have alot ahead of your opponents if your people, military and technology is smarter. Think about it. Do you think a 0IQ pack of warriors will beat a Literally educated formation of spearmen and generals? I dont think so. Also, with a higher technology, better weapons and military will be available for those nations to purchase. This also helps culture.

The levels are: backwards, very low, basic, illiterate, literate, progressive, developed, high, classical, Reinassance

CULTURE-
This affects alot on your nation and the civilizations around you. Certain tribes and nation's cities may revolt and join your nation becuase of your higher culture. Keep this up and your nation will be known throughout the world. It also effects how many wonders can be built.
The levels are: backwards, basic, developing, high, golden, world-known, classical, Reinassance

MILITARY-
This will have maintainance sinse buying the actual armies wont cost as much. It costs 5-10 gold depending on the type of military army being built. Maintainance is also depending on type of army being built.
Levels (just for show): tiny, small, medium, large, very large, huge, imperial, legendary

Ranged: 5 gold, 1 gold per turn maintainence.
Infantry: 7 Gold, 1 gold per turn maintainence.
Cavalry: 10 gold, 1 gold per turn maintainence.

Galleys: 7 Gold, 1 gold per turn maintainence.

Prices may change accordingly. ;)
There is no limit on how many armies you may build.
You may research new units by combining two types of units, like Chariot (combines ranged and cavalry) which will cost 15 gold combined.

Ok, you can only build armies in your cities. Cities will pop on the map when I say them to depending on how you run you nation and your nation’s population. When you reach an education level of Illiterate, you will be able to build your own cities for 15 gold each. They are nothing more than military structures and defensive structures at the moment.

TRAINING-
Training and experience is gained only by fighting. The more you win battles the more experience your army gains. Each army has a different rating. New armies start on Educated, conscripted armies start on Peasants.
The levels are: Peasants, Conscripts, educated, veterans, Elites, proffesional, legendary
Training and experience is shown as "*" next to the army.

WONDERS-
You can build these. State your effects and make a story for them or picture. Over time, you can increase the time to build by investing money. You can only build as many wonders as your culture level.

MORE INFO-
Well thats almost it. There are already civs on the map, please consider those before starting a new one. :) This game is placed like in NEO NES, the End of Classical Age and beggining of Middle Ages. There was no Roman Empire, but there was Rome. The Alexander's Empire collapsed after his death, war between Rome and Carthage streched all the way to the 4th Punic wars, Hannibal is not yet defeated and so isn't Ceasar. The Persian Empire reunited after the death of Alexander the Great and though do not have bad relations with the Greeks. The Babylonians have also formed and so is the Jewish Empire. The Egyptians and Nubians have good relations. India is also isolated in treaties and so is China. Thats all you have to know. Pick a nice nation, write stories and have fun. :)

Expansion is very slow for larger empires. Good things will happen to those who put effort in this game and write good stories and pictures.

@NEW PLAYERS, you can take ANY nation in the current map. Some dont have templates or stats but I will make them for you. Have fun!

Glad to have you guys. :) Welcome to AmirNES!

The games will begin when I get maybe 4 more players. I will update either tonight or tommorrow whether or not the # of players I have.

You can also begin to write stories and orders. I perfer stories, but whatever is possible for you.

Ok, changes is rules are shown below. :) Please read them over if something confuses you. Ask me if there is something wrong.

All unit maintainence is now 1 Denarii, for now. Armies are not that numerous and complicated, so not that much pay is needed for them.

Armies with higher training is shown with a "*" next to them.

You can build Galleys now. Primitive ones for 7 Gold.

Treasury has been changed to 20 gold.

Armies begin in Peasants Training. Rates are shown next to stats.

Nope!

This NES needs people badly...

So I'll take Carthage for a challenge.

Funnitiisnns was the leader of the Carthiginian people. But something was wrong. He had seen the future. He had seen his empire burned down by the evil Romans. But all that was about to change. For Leader F. (His name is too long) decided to destroy the Romans before they could destroy him. The Empire of Rome would be destroyed before it could be created.

Thousands of horse mounted warriors left that day, to the Roman shores, most of them never to be seen again. The ships sailed off into the horizon, where, if you looked hard enough, a trace of forbidding emeny land could be seen. But, best of all, the Romans had no knowledge whatsoever of this invasion. Our supriorly trained Cavalry would make mincemeat out of the Roman peasant foot soldiers.

Orders:
Transport both Cavalry units on our fleet to the south of the Roman peninsula. (Only transport one if that is against the rules)

Increase education so that our Cavalry can have better strategies.

Tell the Cavalry to persaude Roman peasants to join Carthage, instead of just slaughtering them.

I shall take Rome.
I suggest taking me seriusly... And I don't like the history of this world, I think it shouldn't be Dark ages! but only The age of the Persian invasion into Babylon and the preapering of invasion into Greece... (somone need to make a historical accurate map of that nes, no?)

Nope!

Roman republic

The senate was in dissorder. Rumors of a Carthaganian invasion frightened the senate. Rome was only a small country and Carthage was an Empire! But most of the senate knew who have better trained troops. It didn't took time until the Senate sent currage scout ships to see if Carthage indeed invade Rome.

Carthage indeed invaded The Roman republic. Their navy showed out of nowhere and in the roman senate all tought what to do. The decided that abigger navy than the Carthaganian must be achieved. Immidietly 2 new war gallays showed in the see and went to sink the Carthaganian navy with the troops on it.

to Carthage:
GRRR on you!

Orders
Build 2 galleys and attack with all 3 against Carthage navy BEFOR they land.
Infantry in the south stays to defend.
Infantry in the north grow teritories north and north west towards Galia.
Trade with anyone that want, and with free Greek-cities.
