Varied Goody Huts

I have seen a large number of very nice buildings that various people had built. I also noticed that in all the graphics modpacks I have seen, all the goody huts had the same style. What this file is is just the best of the 8 different styles of buildings out there as goody huts.

None of these graphics are mine, I just added them all into one file.

This is the Goody Hut file I will be using in Optimator.

It's nothing new - M_M_X released it on Apolyton over 2 years ago.

Are you referring to my Goody Huts file (CDG doesn't use popups I think) or M_M_X's Barbarian Hut file (Apolyton is popup happy )? It is a shame that Apolyton has gone so far down the toilet. It used to be a pretty good site....

If you want M_M_X's, well, I did look for a copy here on CFC. With search disabled it was not easy - I manually went through all 14 pages of the Graphics Modpacks forums before posting the Apolyton link and could not find his original file here. Took me about 45 minutes.

Nice idea, good variation of goodyhuts. I've changed a couple for Aaglo's Native American goodyhuts though.

CDG now requires users to login before they can download, and from what I hear CFC is looking into similar measures. All of this is entirely due to posts containing cross-forum direct downloads, like the one someone posted in this thread earlier. I hate that people have to register and login to download, but I cannot say I blame them, as these types of downloads are effectively making one site the file server for another. By providing a link to the thread at CDG I at least gave them the traffic they could use for advertising.

Another reason I personally don't like direct downloads is they only point to one version. If I were to come out with another version of this file, the direct download posted above would still point to the previous version. A link to the thread itself gives the user the oppurtunity to get the latest version.

The reason I was only posting at CDG and not CFC and Apolyton was that I simply did not want to update three threads if I do come out with a new version. That has now unfortunately become the case.

I know the 2 posters involved in the direct download discussion above were only trying to help out and make the download process a bit more streamlined, but it has really helped create a giant mess on both forums. I really do appreciate your attempts to help, but please do not ever post or request a direct download again in any of my threads.

I have decided to post this file on all three forums. A little extra work for me, a little less for all of you. And hopefully this will help keep all the mods in all the sites from taking too drastic measures

Here is the varied GoodyHuts file that has been uploaded to CFC. It is the same as the one on CDG. Enjoy.
