Okay, the Man-O-War used to be one of the worst UUs, IMO. But, now it is greatly improved, and I want to check out the power of it's enslave, and raised attack and bombard on a archipeligo map. So, we're playing as them!

Rules:
Archipeligo
Large sized map
Raging Barbs
80% Water
Culurally linked start locations
Conquest is only victory enabled
Accelated Production (I want everyone to get to do a lot of playing, and this will help, by adding in more units, and cities)
Preserve Random Seed
No cultural conversions
Other civs are: Mayans, Byzantines, Scandinavians, Dutch, and everyone else is random (yes, like GGF1)
Difficulty level: Regent/Monarch
AI agression: Highest

Try to play quickly, especially early on in the game. If you don't say you have the save, or play, I will PM you (much simpler than how I phrased this in GGF1).

Current members (in play order, one whose turn it is has a * next to their name):

The GGF1 link in your sig isn't working. Not that it matters too much.

Question though - could I play as 2nd? I've got a lot of time now, but will struggle a bit later...so it would help to be 2nd and play on Saturday or Sunday :)

I just started play civ 3 again when i bought conquest. This is my first succession game however but I do have alot of experience playing. I am free to play any night although i prefer if my turn was on any day from thursday to sunday.

If you want more experienced players for this i'll understand

I moved on to emperor before i stopped playing so I'm probably down to monarch after my months of idleness.

I'm not sure how people in seccession games deal with the different playing styles on their rosters. But i'm flexible.

Just play a game or two to get back into the "groove" of Civ3 (for example, one of the Conquests, or a short scenario), and you will be fine :).

:wavey: I'll join Gogf.

@general_kill: No, but I will strat the game, so I am "up."
@SuBI: Welcome!

Okay, the roster is full! I'll start it a little later.

Lets go for monarch! have a challenge. And since this is a navy game, the AI need all the help it can get.

Regent is okay, but I would prefer Monarch.

ugh, I was hoping that the first turn would start today so i can get a feel of the map and so that I can finish my turn before the weekend is over. I have 2 huge tests coming up so I just want to get my turn over with so i can concentrate on the test :p

We're each playing ten turns, so yours should only take a total of five minutes. Also, if you need it, you can ask for a skip. As for tonight, sorry for not starting it, I was going to, but the I realised I had to study for a Latin test tommorow...

If you guys need one more, I'll join.

I haven't gone any SG yet but I've read a lot and am trying to join one. I just entered emperor level and won a few large pangea games. Monarch and archipelago should be OK.

EDIT: I just saw that 1) you have accelerated production and 2) no culture flip. I'd prefer we have the normal setting, ESPECIALLY the culture, otherwise it'd be too easy. But I'm OK if it's not the case..

Okay, we'll take one more player. But no culture flips, and accelatered production stays. It's not like that really hurts the AI, IMO.

OK, I am in. Thanks. :-)

The reason that I think it's easier without flip is that we are aiming for a conquest win, and without worrying about flip it's much easier to capture and keep cities. But maybe it's not so much for Monarch.

Since I read too many RBC* serials games, I normally assume this and I always follow the way in my own game, the question is "do we (try to) follow the honorable rules?"

Most importantly:

1. No RoP abuse - keep units out of enemy territory before declaring war
2. Do not intentionally break any deals (including peace treaty and alliance)
3. Keep rep clean (be aware of gpt payment and trade route)
4. No exploit of game bugs

Just check to see what you guys think

Sort of.

1. We can keep them there, if we think the enemy is going to declare war on us, but not declare war while they are there.
2. Peace treaty and alliance I don't care about. If you are in a trade, and declare war, fine, but we do not do it to end trades.
3. Not really
4. No exploits at all, except for AI stupidity ;).

You should however, play in the way that you find most honarable, and helpful (including to our rep), so it is really up to you. Just the above are the only ones that I regulate.
