War against Egypt

After some worrying about falling victim to an attack by Babylon, now is the time to flex our muscle against a foreign intruder. The Egyptians are trying to steal the wines that are rightfully ours. They have to be stoppped.

I advocate to go to war against Egypt. We should join forces with Greece to terminate the Egyptian aggression.

What are my considerations in detail?

1. We want to settle all of Audiac. We have to stop the wines theft.
2. Let us call enforcements (one more horsemen and the elite warrior) for the attack.
3. Declare war on Egypt after stripping them of their assets.
4. Form an alliance with Greece. The Greek hoplites will be a hard nut to crack for the Egyptian chariots. Both countries will start their Golden Age while still in despotism.
5. Attack with horses first; if they loose attack weakened enemy with elite warrior hoping for a Great Leader.
6. Once we traded contacts, we might form an alliance with Babylon vs. Egypt. This will prevent the Babylonians from attacking us and engage them in pointless overseeas warfair.

Yea you got some good points, though it will slow a bit our colonization of the second continent. But a fast victorious war with Egyptians is better then a long who knows victorious or not war with Babylonians.

I think this sounds like a good idea, and we should start as soon as we can get an effective fighting force to northwestern Audiac province.

As an indication of relative power, Egypt will pay us 40 gold to renegotiate peace (50 BC).

Greece will not at this moment accept an alliance against Egypt however.

Forgot one little detail..

What if Egypt gets allies against us like..Babolyn?!?!?!

So if we go to war..we better have a good military guarding our cities....

That will solve our problem, if we do that faster then Egyptians .

I agree with this idea. Our armed forces should be ready to meet the challenge. I do highly suggest that the TC be stopped should war come.

Do we really have the military to do this yet? Also, is there a good map to show the locations of these enemies?

Edit: Found the map. So you are just aiming for Buto and Pithom in the desert? If we assemble the right forces on the borders of these small towns, we could declare war, snatch them up and sue for peace before they know what hit them. On a not unrelated note, what justification is there for our claiming these lands anyway, and could we capture them peacefully (perhaps by building a neighboring town and convincing the citizens to join us, or for negotiating for control of the towns)? Maybe we only need to capture Buto (it's on a river, it has the wine and it's not all desert) and leave Pithom for a real and more justified war.

its called, they are seizing our rightful terriroty that should belong to us. Audiac must be absolutely Fanatican. I advocate a fast war to eliminate Egypt wuickly by moving forces into position so that we can take both cities within 3-4 turns.

Give me 4 knights and 4 swords plus 58g to spy at the cities and I conquer them in 2 turns and defend them afterwards.
