Do you wish Fanatica to follow the plan below in building the Forbidden Palace?

1: Groton immediately changes to a Courthouse and rushes it.

2: Groton builds a Cathedral, waits 1 turn, then rushes it.

3: Groton build the Forbidden Palace.

Discussion is here.

Please vote as follows:
Yes: I wish Fanatica to follow this plan.
No: I do not wish Fanatica to follow this plan.
Other: I wish Fanatica to follow another plan (please post).
Abstain: I have no preference.

This poll shall run until 1 hour prior to the turn chat.

I voted no, because
  1. I would not build the FP in Groton, and
  2. if we want to build the FP in Groton, hurrying the cathedral is a waste of money. I pointed out a better alternative in the discussion thread.
[/list=1]I am very disappointed, that the alternative (10% lux plus incense) is not in this poll!

I voted other, because I believe that Groton is currently the right city to build the FP, and I also believe that we shouldn't wait any longer to build it. But my problem with the proposal is the rush of the cathedral. As Tao pointed out in the discussion thread, waiting 2 turns to get incense from the Greeks for less gold will have a national effect, instead of the local effect the Cathedral will have.

No.

I voted for the plan to have the FP in Groton. I don't have to agree with all steps to be able to agree with the general idea. A cathedral there is useful (more happy citizens, thus more laborers working tiles) but it will delay our FP further. Nothing lux-sliders and incense couldn't solve.

I vote Other: I support the FP and the Courthouse, but not the Cathedral at this time. I think it is too much gold (over 600).

I assume we read the poll results "cum grano salis": FP in Groton yes, but not with the cathedral.

tao - no. This is a question of do the citizens support this plan. More expressed approval than disapproval, at least at the moment. The plan is approved, assuming the results to not change. The expressed will of the people is to rush Courthouse and Cathedral.

I'm going to take this opportunity to request something from you. Your comments are good, but there were way, way too late on this discussion. I was in the process of creating this poll before you commented in the discussion, 3 days after it started. Your insights are generally good, but you need to state them, and state them early. It's disappointing to see you commenting at the end of a process, rather than at the beginning.

I violently disagree. You did a very poor job in excluding the better option from this poll. If you look however here you see the overwhelming wish of the people to not hurry the cathedral!

PS: As I posted in the official absence registry, I was away for 3 days.

PPS: I objected 6 hours after you proposed to hurry a cathedral. I would hardly call this "way, way too late"

PPPS: I suggested the better alternative in the discussion thread 20 minutes before you posted the poll.

I support the FP in that location. Why? Our location stinks. We can relocate our palace later. It was a common vanilla Civ3 tactic, too.
