I'd love to see an easy to use editor wizard program that lets users create their own nations in less than five minutes...

Ditto. The editor is a pain for people who want to do a couple of quick changes/additions and not spend a lot of time doing it.

They should provide open standards to their file formats et cetera, so that third party editors could easily be made!

or maybe an editor that allows better xchanging of image files, so you don't need to spend 20 min copying a file fro musketeer to musket infantry

Yeh the basics of the Smac one was good but it could be a bit buggy on some systems and left alot of people modifying through the ini files which was just as effective.

I think a person making their senarios should have access to a program in edit that allows them to rewrite the civilopedia without having to open a searchfile.

I agree with the flow senitment of this post. Recently, I posted the a thread with most of these ideas. It would include easy to import docs and and such. It seems like it would be easy to do without forcing the player to fiddle around with text files and such. Yet, this has not been done. Why not?
