A minor fix to AI trade

I think that AI should concentrate more on what it wants for itself, not what the trade means to you. It is of course a factor, but why wouldn't a civ that has good relations with me and in desperate need for oil trade me my last missing luxury to that oil? Now the AI knows that I will benefit immensily from that trade, so it probably won't comply, which is just plain stupid. Same goes for luxury-luxury-trade. The AI should pay more attention to what it needs rather than what I get. That's the point of trading, isn't it? I have a lot of something that somebody else needs, and vice versa. I look mostly at what I get, not what the other gets. Only in some cases should it be a factor - as not trading gunpowder-tech 10 turns before starting a war, or something.

What do you guys think?

I have to agree with your point, but also disagree.

It pisses me off sometimes when I just want one luxury from an AI civ, but they want 3 in return.

I find though, that sometimes it keeps the balance of power in the game. I wouldn't want to trade with the strongest AI civ on a 1 for 1 basis, especially if I wasn't really powerfull.
