Now that we have new cities, and all cavs, I'd like to rush some muskets. True, they'll be regulars, but think about this.
1 - We want to attack Babylon, and may take them out in 3-5 turns after the war starts. To do this, we need ALL of our cavs, including ones fortified in cities.
2 - To move muskets from the interior cities to the former Russian cities would take 8-12 turns.
3 - If we rush muskets (around 100-200 gold per rush, depending on the shield count), we can have them in a few turns.
4 - To counter, they could use temples to expand culture, but I think that can wait. To re-counter, Germany is bordering us, and they are an agressive civ. Muskets would be a good deterant.
The minimum timeline for the battle is this:
Turn 1 - Attack the last Russian city. Rush muskets.
Turn 2 - Most, if not all resistence ends. Rush remaining muskets, and start to move cavs to their posistions (may take 2-4 turns to get them in place). Note - We are close enough to India now that we can move troops towards the Babylonian colonies in 4 turns (and be ready for the 5th turn) if we sign an ROP. Continue to build cavs in productive cities (instead of cannons. We'll build up on cannons later, along with our railnet).
This means an attack most likely on turn 6 (turn 4 at the earliest if we allow the colony attacks to start late).
