This proposed Standard has passed Judicial Review. For this proposal to become adopted, a simple majority of the votes cast is required. This poll shall remain open for 4 days.

Code:
CoS Section J.1.
d. A citizen is limited to accepting no more than one
      nomination in any election cycle.
    1. The Election Office is responsible for contacting
citizens that have exceeded the limit.
    2. Should the citizen not reduce their acceptances to
the limit, the Election Office shall interpret the
earliest acceptance as the only valid acceptance
        when creating the election ballots.

Aren't we already doing this (1 nom only)? What changes are there?

Chieftess, no we are not. Our original Section J.1.d was replaced before Term 3 to essentially what is proposed here, but it was only effective for Term 3. For the Term 4 elections, there was no valid Standard on the books. This proposal would add it back to the Code of Standards permanently.

I voted yes. This worked very well during Term 3 and there's no reason that it shouldn't be implemented now. Plus, why should anybody vote for a candidate in more than one election, given that they're going to decline one of them and waste the votes spent.

I also voted Yes, as this law seemed to work quite well.

Multiple acceptances only brings confusion, and allows for strategic positioning to increase the possibility of elected office. I urge the citizenry to disallow this practice once and for all.

Now I'm confused. :p

Abstain.

I wish to vote No On this change.

This Standard has passed.
