I would like it to be possible to 'skin' your Civ3 interface. The same mechanism could be used to skin the interface, the leaderheads, the advisors etc, and could possibly be extended to units and terrain => It would make management of graphics mods much easier.

In addition, why not have all the music in MP3 format in a directory. You can then dump your own MP3s in there, and have them as the in-game music. :)

They are, at least in Conquests.

Sorry for the huge bump, but I love this idea. It is a small addition, but would be very cool :goodjob:

Yes, nice idea, but can't you already reskin the terrain and units? Or is that only in games like Warcraft III.

But, yeah, deffinetly the music, but maybe not in MP3, maybe in WAV or something. In MP3, everything takes much more file space. Maybe they can have a special Civ4 archiver that comes with Civ4 that would compress all files that you wanted to add to the game and archive them in a central archive (like they have for Warcraft III).

skin would be really cool. maybe even use CSS for super easy editing (of interface)

also, use the .ape (monkeys adeo) format for music. it compressis but dosen't lose quality like MP3's.
