No Longer Just Lurking
I thought this poll would just be about how we deal with their demands and incursions, but the discussions have raised another option. We are now much stronger than both Germany and India, but will currently pay up to their demands and wont ask them to leave our territory if they intrude. The 20 turn Indian ROP is over, we have Indian workers changing our improvements near Vandopolis, and one of our cities flipped to Germany in the last session. Please vote for one of the following options:
Option 1: carry on as we are. Ie: Pay their demands (up to 40g, 2gpt and Maps) and allow them to trespass on our territory without hinderance.
Option 2: refuse all demands and ask/demand they leave. This may lead to War. India is unlikely to declare if forced to leave, Germany may well declare.
Option 3: wait until weve built up more culture in our new territory then start refusing demands and asking/demanding they leave. Again this may lead to War, but gives us a bit of time to consolidate the former Babylonian and Russian cities into Fanatica.
Option 4: dont wait for them to declare, go to War now. We have a tremendous military advantage at the moment, a large production capability and a rail network to get reinforcements to the front lines. We will be attacking Knights/Muskets (Germany) or War Elephants/Pikes (India) with Cavalry/Infantry. The longer we wait, the less advantage we have.
