All artillery and cavs are there. Greece's lands are still untamed, so 10 workers will do for the first turn of war. They have a lot of jungle that needs to be cleared, too, then it's off to Egypt. We'll have Combustion in 10 turns, and we have 10 galleons. (It'll cost us 800g to upgrade. We'll hit that in 2 turns). Vandelay is still on a Palace Prebuild (6 turns left), but no civs have Shakespeare's. There's also a small group of cavs by the ice-island (2 settlers can settle that island).

The question is, when do we attack? Here's how many units we have:

Artillery - 19 (on the island)
Cavalry - 40 (3 on the ice island, blocking any settlers).
Galleons - 10
Ironclads - 4
Infantry - 58 (Remember that we have about 100 cities! We need more vet infantry! Also, we're gonna need more infantries in Audiac city, since we're gonna let Greece attack first this time.

I know. That's what I try to tell the governors...

And I know better. That's what I try to tell you. ;)

When our cavalry rolled over Russia, India, and Germany, it was evident that the technological advantage was crucial to our fast victory. And for Persia we need tanks and airports. Thus we have to research as fast as possible.

IMHO the very worst of your thinking is "production over growth". I ALWAYS grow to pop 6/12 as fast as possible. Your bad advice as DoI and the DPs wrongfully ignoring my governor's orders stiffled growth e.g. in Internal. And look at Vo Mimbre: still not pop 12. And the "idiocy" to do all this mining at Liebling; it needs irrigation to grow fast. And the stupid build policy in Antilla (stuck at pop 2); it needed culture to get the whale; for 2 terms I told the ignorant governors, but they did not listen.

But there would be no fun in the demogame without discussions over disagreements. :D

PS: In the Plan for Term 5 thread I give my vision on how to proceed.

For Greece: yes we need more manpower. But if people start listening to me, this wouldn't be a problem.
If we go for England first; we have sufficient manpower. The cities in the mean time can build up more troops, while the army conquers England.
When we are ready for Greece after that; we'll have sufficient troops.

So: Greece shouldn't go first; England should !!
