GAME FULL!

This PBEM is based off the C3C MP scenario Age of Discovery, unmodded, with the 1.22 patch, for five people. The game can be refered to as Columbus through saves, for easy finding and simplicity. We should all know, but Columbus discovered America in 1492.

This game is currently suited for the European powers only..but if anyone wants to play as any of the native civilizations, go ahead. Here are a few rules I'm going to set down. They mostly are from another AOD PBEM game I saw.

Rules:

-All wars fought between the European nations can be fought in Europe or the New World, but you must follow these rules.

-No taking cities in Europe! (You can however take colonial cities outside Europe)
-No razing cities. (I believe we're more civilized than burning whole cities down!)

-Nations MUST choose either the Protestantism tech or the Counter Reformation tech. Protestant nations MUST declare war on Catholic nations. You don't have to fight eachother, but you can't trade or anything.

-European nations can only switch governments once. Either stick with the Catholic monarchy, or go Protestant.

-European nations SHOULDN'T steal technologies from the natives.

-The natives must stay in either despotism or Blood Cult. Even if they get far enough to use a Catholic/Protestant monarchy, they shouldn't use it. Keep with the ways of your forefathers!

-European nations can only trade Classical Age techs to the natives; no trading Middle Ages and upwards techs.

-No making deals with the AI(if there are any..) until the 5th turn.

-During wars, please state here in the topic what you attacked, what you lost/defeated, and what cities you took, if any.

All saves should be named as "Columbus(turn number)" so if I played the first turn, I'd name the save Columbus1, and send it on. You don't need the quotes.

I'm interested. kashgar_the_unwanted at Yahoo dot ca

Will try any European power (like the English or Portuguese though).

I've added you. I gave you England, hope you don't mind.

I'd like to join but I don´t have any experience in PBEM games; I hope that's not a problem.
E-mail: sggonzae at puc dot cl
Nation: Spain

Added. As long as you know how PBEM works, I believe you'll do fine.

Btw, what level do you guys want to set the AI too? It personally doesn't matter for me. I'm a warlord player, but I can always gain some experiance.

I usually play on Regent

I'll join. As Cannae is having difficulties getting off the ground, I haven't played in a PBEM yet.

cuivienen7 at gmail dot com

And I would prefer Portugal.

I would like to join. The Dutch are still left, right? This would be my third
PBEM.

Are we going to play the original map? Maybe you want to randomize the
resource locations in the new world, as LouLong did it in "Haiti".

stirnberg dot martin at gmx dot de

Level: Monarch or Regent

Yes, original map. Nothing has been edited, just to save time for all of us.

It's technically for five players Classical_Hero, but I forgot to edit the number of players needed, so I'm going to add you in anyways, just so we have an American civ. And I'll need your email.

Since we've got all of our players, I'm going to be setting the PBEM up soon(like in a few minutes). I don't require that we have one turn per day or anything; I understand that we all have lives and that PBEMs might not be at the top.

Classical_Hero: Post your email when you log on.

I modified my game so France went first, instead of Spain so I would be able to set it up. I'm not sure if after Cuivienen if it will ask for Spain to play, or France. if it asks for France, just edit the MP so Spain goes next.

---

Drake Rlugia, the King of France has decided to send forth Caravels to explore the vast darkness. Caravels are slowly filling up with the unruly, adventerous, or jailors to go perhaps settle what is beyond.

No wars or attacks have began.

Our brave conquistadores have departed looking for new territories and riches for his Majesty the King of Spain. Maybe the fountain of youth will be found?

I have his email, we're playing against each other in the Kamikaze contest.

What's the playing order in this PBEM? It would be quite unfortunate if I
would play my turn right before classical_hero: he's living in Australia, and I'm
from Germany, which means that there would be a hold-up of one day
between our moves. If that is the case, I suggest that you edit the scenario
so that classical_hero moves first and restart the game.

I'll pm you my email address. It is best to make sure you have our addresses of this forum so that only those in this game.

Playing order is posted in the first post.

It's just too much work to restart, so let us just keep going. It's okay if we have a day or so of wait.

What's the level of the AI by the way?

The Dutch fleet has left Europe, hoping that our powerful neighbors will
leave us a barren strip of land to settle peacefully in the New World.

:mischief:

Please set your preferences to "Always wait at end of turn", because my turn
ended unexpectedly early (preferences are passed on to the next player with
the save).
