It has been discussed (mainly because you guys are getting so jealous that many of us are meeting up :p ) that we have a CFC meet up in the UK.

Being typically narrowminded, I'll suggest this is in London, as it is easy to get to for most Brit CFCers.

So who is in?

What do you want to do?

Where?

When?

Here is where we got to:

Date: Saturday 17th December 2005

Place: London

Itinerary:
Morning: - (meeting around 11am)
Starbucks near Tottenham Ct Rd, Oxford St

NOTE: the specific Starbucks is the one labelled as number one on the following map:

Don't shoot me. I'm just the messenger.

Can I invite some introverts?

Actually, I would imagine Birmingham is easier to get to (from a wider perspective) but London is certainly easier for those of us happening to reside there :)

I might come, but i'm not overly fond of London :p.

Northampton would be a far greater choice! ;).

(Definately not because it means I don't have to travel).

I don't really mind where though, as long as there's plenty to do :D.

Send me a flight ticket and I'll go.
Sure thing bro. Expect a one way ticket to somewhere and we'd be happy to pack you off! (You did want to get out afterall).

Northampton is quite ridiculous Lozzy. No one wants to go there. Seriously. It just ain't convenient. Birmingham? No thanks.

Anyway, most Brit CFCers live in the south of England. It may well be a southerners meet up, joined by some random Greeks and Norwegians ;)

What about those who live in the north? They are presented with six, maybe eight hours of travel. Don't think they would be interested.

Speaking as a random greek i have to say that i hope i can find a decent place to stay with not needing to spend massive amounts of cash. How much does one pay for a room in the hotels in the paddington area these days? (with bath ofcourse)

Well you guys better come up with something good overnight. I'm off out the office and shall check in on this squabbling rabble in the morning. No doubt you'll have all fixed up that we meet in the Shetland Islands, in Roman dress, carrying a password like 'Demogame' on our lips. Or something equally geeky.

I don't know why I bother. :shakehead

What would the event involve? Please amend the opening post with details :)

Isn't everything in England within a few hours ride of everything else?

@varwnos: About £60 pppn, IIRC. Don't quote me on that though ;)

This meet up or w/e sounds like a great idea :yeah:. As long as drinking is involved, I'm in.

No...

I have to drive for five hours + to get anywhere of substance in Britain.

At least we wont need any means of identification since most people have their photos in the photo thread.
I seriously plan to go to london, so i can arrange it to be when the meeting will be held, so if you decide within the two next weeks i will be able to do that ;)
I will be visiting the city in the next month probably.

Exactly, and it's not cheap to travel to the city on the train or coach and find somwhere to stay there.
