Welcome! You have stumbled upon my cradle NES. In this you take control of a nation and attempt to rule the world! I'll assume you have come from my signature link.. if so,don't be worried by the size of this! Give me a PM and i will happily explain anything you remain confused about. Do not be scared with its depth, you soon get a handle of it. Basically everyone controls a nation and I am the games master, interpreting your plans along with everyone elses and writing this world history.

Lead your nation to cultural glory, defeat all others with your knowledge, or straight up aim for domination. This is your story, i'm just here to help you create it. This is VERY addictive - you have been warned ;)

You can only start your nation within the grey on the map (which is found below). It is centred around a India in an effort to drive a different history than in real life. Assume a real life Earth climate and resourse locations, with some flexibility so that all will have the basic requirements.

Stories

Writing stories is not required, however, those who do will be rewarded, and often good stories will have an effect on the update. A story reduces the chance of something bad happening, and increases the chance of something good happening.

Orders

Orders are sent as a PMed to me every turn. I have given a guide how structure your orders the post after update 7. Unclear or poor orders will make my life more difficult, and will make the update take longer. Don't tell me you're invading another country; explain exactly how many armies, how they're organized, include a map if you can, etc. Include new programs, military maneuvers, diplomatic agreements you want official (and public), and other things you want done with your empire. Early orders will be rewarded.

Updates

This is where I collect everyones orders in and turn them into a grand update. The world progresses - war's are fought and developments implemented. I try and do one every weekend, when every nation has sent in their orders. I will give bonuses based on different things, from best orders, to earliest orders, to good stories, etc. I will punish players for a lack of effort on this part.

THE RULES



Economy
Economies are divided into three different sections: agriculture, industry, and trade. The total number of eco points your nation has is found by adding the three categories together. To improve your economy you must initiate some sort of program or make some change. Don't just say you want to improve your economy; build something in a city, start a program of land reform, piracy, etc.

*To improve Agriculture, Industry or Trade by 1 point it costs 3EP

Eco points may be banked. Eco points may be traded, sold, whatever. Think of an eco point as a large amount of money. They can be used to build new units, start wonders, initiate programs, build cities, etc.

Without technological advances, all nations have a max economy of 3/3/3

Army and Navy
Military units are created with eco points.

1 Eco-point can buy:

5 Warrior bands
2 Horsemen
1 Transport Galley (good for 5 Bands, or 2 groups)
2 War Galley

There are of course many more varied types of troops, learn the relevant advances and i will tell you how many you can train for 1EP

Infrastructure
A descripton on a scale. This will effect how quickly your units move, trade, culture, ability to supply your armies, etc. It includes roads, bridges, boats. This can be increased with the investment of eco points. How many? That depends on how large your empire is....

Culture
A descriptive scale. A high culture nation is harder to incorporate into your own, and can more easily absorb weaker cultures. A weak culture nation may struggle to keep independence in the face of culturally superior neighbors. You cannot directly buy culture.

Uncultured - Divided - Poor - Basic - Cultured - Influential - Overwhelming

Advances
Your nation is limited in its progress by the lack of technologies. You can start research into an advance in order to overcome these advances. Advances may be traded, and once they are common place, all nations will have them. You can be attempting to advance in as many technologys as you wish, tho all have individual EP costs.

Wonders & Projects
You may build glorious wonders for your nation. Their effects can have wide ranging effects. You decide what you want built, the effects, and I'll decide how much it will cost for you to build it (as long as the effects are reasonable).

Background : Pendanticism is a form of government through which a council or senate of tribes leaders cast votes on the amounts of pendants they have. Pendants can be achieved through war with other tribes, inherited or stolen. Currently their are Fifteen of these pendants held by the tribes of the region of Mobandika. Each passed down for generations and made of fine metals. As long as the tribal leaders have these pendants they hold a vote in the countries actions. One pendant is equal to one vote. It is possible in theory to own more than one and up to all of them, going from secured power to absolute power. The culture of the Mobandikans is simple merchant and sea based in origin. On the fringe of society they attempt to trade with others from the sea and along the coast and stay as far from the inner wastelands as possible.
