This disease is a a disease that affects the bowels causing problem if they eat anything with gluten. Basically most wheat products and other common grains. [wiki]Coeliac Disease[/wiki]

So in honour of those people who have this disease, I think it will be a fun variation on a game. Since this will mean that all wheat, Rice and Corn resources are bad for us and thus we cannot connect them, trade for them or work any of these tiles.

The other settings will be up for discussion. Except that we must not have an expansionist leader. Also since we are not trying to get extra health we cannot have a civ with a UB that gives extra health over the normal building. So this Leave Babylon and Persia out of the equation, since they both fit that caveat. I would like five more players for this. This will be BTS 3.17.

Interesting, although your facts are wrong. To quote Wikipedia:

Wheat varieties or subspecies containing gluten and related species such as barley and rye also induce symptoms of coeliac disease.[18] A small minority of coeliac patients also react to oats.[19][20] It is most probable that oats produce symptoms due to cross contamination with other grains in the fields or in the distribution channels.[3] Generally, oats are therefore not recommended[18], though gluten-free oats are available in some locales and may be tried with caution.[21] Other cereals, such as maize (corn), quinoa, millet, sorghum, and rice are safe for patients to consume. Non-cereal carbohydrate-rich foods such as potatoes and bananas do not contain gluten and do not trigger symptoms.

Man cannot live on bananas alone. :)
Next up, Gandhi the Vegetarian: no pigs, cows or sheep. Horses can be connected but not eaten.

I'm quite interested in an SG, I haven't played one since vanilla Civ4 released! However, I'm rusty at best, but more honestly lacking in skills. I was looking for an SG to hone my skills. I play on Prince mostly and I'm so-so at that level. Win some lose some.

What difficulty would we be playing on?

I think I'll be lurking this one, may I suggest a rush towards math and build HG?
