This is my first story written here so I would like to get constructive criticism. I'll try to add some pictures later.

Our people have travelled a long way and haven't found any suitable position for a village. Now, at the
January of 2300 BC, our nomad tribe has had enough. We establish Zimbabwe near The African River, which
starts from a natural spring to the NW of the capital and flows first towards SE and then, after twenty
years by foot, turns to NE and after 30 years by foot turns to NW and then again to NE after twenty
years. We claim all land within ten years walk from the village and begin to recruit some workers to
build roads to other villages and civilizations. Our small Warriorgroup begins to explore the
countryside northeast of Zimbabwe, following The African River and looking for a new place to establish
a village. Our mystics begin to study the mysteries of Domestication. That would teach us how to tend
cattle and pigs, what would help us to collect more food.

After 40 years of exploring, our Warriorgroup finds the coast of The Eastern Sea. The African River
flows to it and we decide to make a city to the river delta of The African River. Our workers are still
to be recruited and after that we will recruit one Warriorgroup more to defend our capital. Then we will
gather volunteers, who will establish a new city to the coast. After finding desert to the SE from the
coast, our Warriorgroup explores to the northwest from the coast, searching for more suitable lands.

After 30 years have passed, our workers are ready to build roads to the coast. Zimbabwe now begins to
recruit a Warriorgroup, while our workers build roads and Warriors explore.

40 years pass and our Warriors find another coast to the northwest of The Eastern Sea. It seems that The
Eastern Sea and this newly found sea are one and same sea, but we are not sure yet. Our Warriors now
turn towards north to see, if it is true, what we suppose. Our capital has completed training Warriors,
who now guard Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe now gathers volunteers for a dangerous road to the coast of The Eastern
Sea.

After 20 years, our Warriors prove, that The Western Sea and The Eastern Sea are the one and the same.
We name the big sea The Northern Ocean, while The Western Sea and Eastern Sea are parts of it. Then,
after ten more years, our mystics learn how to tend cattle and pigs. Unfortunately, none of those
animals are seen near Zimbabwe.

As our village grows, we claim more land and we now claim all land within 20 years walk from our
capital. Our Warriorgroup is coming south, following the coast of The Western Sea.

At January or year 2090 BC, our Mystics discover a new warstrategy, Tribal Wars. We now know how to
fight wars with spears and can recruit Spearmen. Our Warriors discover a native village, which is
deserted. It seems that the Bactrian people didn't want to live on a hill so close to the marsh. Our
mystics are now exploring agriculture and its opportunities.

50 years later, our Mystics learn the secrets of Agriculture. We can now grow wheat, but the lands
around Zimbabwe are not fertile enought for wheat. At the same time, our Warriors infiltrate a huge
jungle to see what's behind it.

Ten years later we have gathered enough volunteers to establish a new
village to the coast and Zimbabwe starts to recruit some spearmen for protection. Our workers are
already building a road to the Western Coast as there is another good buildsite. Our Warriors still
don't see the edge of the Massive Jungle. They have spotted some elephants from which we could get some
fine ivory.

We just received great news here in Zimbabwe. Our volunteersettlers have settled down and founded Ulundi
on the year 2010! This means that we can build more units in less time. We get some bonuses from Ulundi.
It is a coastal village, which gives us access to extra food. Ulundi starts to recruit Warriors to
protect the village.

Our mystics have solved the problems of many! They have learned, that there is something to believe on.
Now our people don't need to wander alone. They can worship the nature and its creations. This is called
Religion. Zimbabwe now has spearmen protecting the capital and Warriorgroups are now exploring. One of
them found camels near Ulundi. Zimbabwe starts recruiting another spearmangroup.

Good start to a story for a very incomplete mod!

Hmh, I seem to have lost the save file. It might be because my computer crashed last evening when I was playing and writing this story. When I today started the computer and CivIII I saw that all my save games, even the autosaves, were gone. All the other save games from other games are gone too. This sucks. :(

Think of it this way, you've created a story from which you can continue to work from. Use it as a templent, and work your way from there. Good job by the way.

Well as I said in my last post, I have lost the save and can't continue to write the story. You can still read my other story (link in sig). It's on hold though, as my studies take some time...

Well if you have vista it is probably in the virtual storage area. Happens to me alot, you can retrieve it from the civ3 directory by clicking on the compatability folders on the tool bars. Don't know if you have vista though.

I have Windows XP and I lost the saves because of a crash, that caused EVERY savefile from EVERY game to disappear. Even my father who is a computer engineer couldn't find the files from my computer, so I needed to start over in all of my games.
