I am indeed running patch L, but since that's for 0.32 and not 0.31 I figure that is a minor point.
However I did miss to upgrade my BTS to 3.17, will give this a try. Would explain some of the strange things I've seen happen.

First of all, great map Sureshot!

I find the Sidar are also poor players. They, like the Svartalfar, suffer intense matinence penalties, destroying their research. The Svartalfar are probably the worst in the game. Have you considered making them a little less tundra infested, because the Frostling event happens every 4-5 turns.

I just beat this game and won as the Sidar on Monarch. I just went right south and conquered all that lovely flood planes that Mr sunshine has to the south
