720p :(

I just got my 720p Sony CRT tv hooked up to my pc, and noticed there is no 1280x720 resolution option in civ5 (I assumed it would have one..). Anyways, after a bit of a search, there were apparently 'reasons' why Civ5 wouldn't support 720 pixels vertically, although I couldn't find out what those reasons were.

Anyways, I did read that it could be run in window mode with a 720p desktop. How do I do this? And also, is this the only workaround for the issue or are there others?

Can your TV accept 1080P and scale it down? Usually, 720P monitors can accept 1080P and just display it at it's native resolution. Also, to run in windowed mode you just uncheck "full screen" on the video options menu. After this, just set your desktop resolution to 720P and you are good to go.

No, the TV doesn't accept a 1080p signal at all unfortunately. I will try windowed mode and see if that works well enough.
