It seems to me that there are several exploits for the person going last in a Play by Email game.

I guess everybody knows that only the last player sees the computer moves and the IBT moves, but I wanted to describe another one that I haven't seen anywhere - if it's on here then I apologise in advance

You are about to be attacked by a player that goes before you in the roster (a human player mind, not a computer one - I don't know what happens if it's a computer player). You have a city that is two moves away and you want to get a spear into it. If you move the spear down your road the next player will get their go and by the time the spear moves it may already be too late.

If on the other hand you use the go-to command then the spear will move the second half of the journey during the IBT. This means that you get a free move before the other player's turn. On your next turn of course the spear will have already used some move points, but who cares? You managed to get your man into the city before your opponent could attack. Also very useful for getting a GL out of danger! He can outrun a faster unit.

I look forward to a patch that removes IBT moves.

i think it extends to any player after another player in the rota,

i saw someone get accused of cheating in a PBEM because of this, imo it's there, so use it

There's a few things I really dislike about the PbEM which is a real pain as it's the only type of Civ I ever play (I get too bored playing the computer).

There is already an advantage to last due to you being able to see the computer's moves (and other player's IBT moves that are within your view).

And which bit do they fix in Conquests? They make the whole screen black at the beginning of your turn so you can't see anything - talk about making a bad situation worse.
