I heard 300 posts lets you edit your avatar, but it won't let me

But seriously, the server doesn't immediately "recognize" that you have 300 posts. Try waiting a while and/or logging out and back in.

I believe the server updates it's 'number's every hour or so. Give it some time and try again.

Someone asked this in the Avatar thread in Comp stuff and after I said that he should log out and then in back he did it and it worked.

Could be the cookie too, you could try to delete it.
