I had a ton of victory point locations and yet I ended the game with a 1/5 of the VPs of the other Civs. That in itself is not a bug. However, when watching the game replay it didn't show me aquiring a VP location until 2600BC. I loaded a game from 3240BC where I clearly had a VP location. It is almost as if I didn't accrue points?
I started another game and closely watched the VP's this time. While the intro blurb says you must have the VP close to your city and fortified in reality it didn't seem to matter wether I had defensive units fortified or anywhere near it to get the VPs. Just so long as it was near my city.
