Civ 5 Does Not Want to Launch

Now, this is going to sound weird.

Apparently my Steam bugged out completely the last time I went to play Civilization V, because seemingly my PC decided to update right at that hour. So I come back, Steam has somehow bugged itself out completely and I've had to reinstall it 5 times already.

Now, it's working now, which is... good.

But then I wanted to play some Civ V. Couldn't be problematic, now could it?

Well, turns out, I can click on any of the DirectX options, and yes, it can run all, but the game simply does not show up. It's considered to be running by the task manager, but it actually isn't.

Anyone has any idea of what to do? It's only with Civ V, seeing as Civ III, FTL, Game Dev Tycoon and TF2 have all worked so far.

Ok, a few stuff I found out:

- It sort of works if I reinstall it, but only until the next reboot. Well, for two days that is, now it's not working anymore.

- The really interesting thing about it is that when it works, it consumes more than 0% of my CPU's processing power. And that's the way I know whether it's working or not.
