Hi everyone! I'm sure this has come up before (I've checked and tried many different solutions online), but for some reason I can't get the Civ 5 WorldBuilder to get past the "Loading..." screen. Has anyone be able to successfully done it?

Things I've tried:
1. https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/if-youre-having-problems-launching-worldbuilder.490200/
2. https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/new-launcher-civ-v-sdk.638797/
3. Checking if anything's blocked by firewall (they are not)

However none of the above fixes work.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm. Very odd. It worked finally. I'll keep this thread up with the helpful links in case someone else has the issue, but not sure why it was broken before but now works. Anyway, this is good news for me. :D

Bump, and same. I made an account solely because the SDK won't load for me. The SDK has always had a spotty work record me, too, something or other breaks between the periods when I don't use it. I've tried using the compatibility troubleshooter (which is also broken, and I can't find any fixes for it), setting it to always run in Administrative mode and settings its compatibility to Windows 7, and nothing has worked; not to mention all my attempts at uninstalling and reinstalling the SDK. I wouldn't even be surprised if the worldbuilder just straight up can't work on my hardware/software specs anymore.

If you use Steam, have you tried verifying integrity of game files? At risk of sounding redundant, you could try uninstalling and before re-installing making sure to check file explorer to delete any remaining files in the Steam directory for SDK or in User\AppData that aren't automatically deleted when uninstalling from Steam.

I actually get an error message saying "memory exception" after like 10-15 minutes of the SDK being frozen, but I'll try those too.
