I've been playing Civ 5 single-player a lot, and I've enjoyed immensely. Moderator Action: *snip* inappropriate. Though I wanna, know are there many people online at any time so it's easy to find others to play with? Do people get a rank or rating or something, like in AOE3, so that people of equal skill can join up against each other? I'm only interested in public online games I can jump into, not e-mail lists, LANs, clans, Xfire groups etc. Also has lag etc. been fixed? When I looked these questions up 1 year ago from what I could tell there was some serious trouble with the MP part, but much can change in a year.

Are there really 26 000 people logged on to the MP Civ5, or do those stats mostly count people playing single-player?
