Some England games:
Pangea with Great Wall - held off 3 civs at once with great wall, longbows and castles. Coordinated attack, both Huns and Japan had bigger armies than me, as they slogged through great wall every attacker died and no cities fell. With new combat system longbows had high survival rate. All this and extra spy!
Continents high sea level with commerce: ship-o-lines with several upgrades vs land units were 1 shot killing trebs, pikes, xbows! knights where about 90% dead with with shot! My ships moved so freaking fast, anything in the water was history, any city on the coast was dead, my fleet could rapidly take city after city.
Now... in a peaceful game I imagine the extra spy wouldn't be too overpowering, but longbow/ship-o-line rushes are just so strong!
