How to increased AI research time

Hi guys,

I want to have AI spend twice more the time it spends on research. But I am confused because the

<iAIResearchPercent>80</iAIResearchPercent>

from handicapinfo.xml is same for all difficulties, so I guess it is not the parameter changing AI research. So,please, where to change in the code?

I think you can still change that tag and get the effect you want. <iAIResearchPercent> is a tag that is not present in vanilla BTS. It was introduced several years ago to help keep the AIs as a threat to a human player. According to the changelog, it exists
"only as an offset parameter between human and AI players". Normally, the AI always plays on Noble difficulty so its research rate is the same. <iResearchPercent> (no AI) is the human player's rate, which varies from 62 on Settler to 250 on Deity.

I would try changing that number and see if it gives you the effect you want.
