I am a long-time CivII/IV player that is finally going to buy a new computer and play CivV. However, I would like to have a computer that can play on huge maps and/or very high settings but will not melt itself in the process.
That is why I am asking has anyone played on a i7-4510u or similar ULV processor? I know the 4700MQ or HQ can handle the game but I am afriad that the game sessions will melt the computer. Is there a large late-game turn lag on the ULV machines even if they are i7s?
I know integrated graphics are not great for this game so any computer I am considering has either the R9 M275 or GT 850M, which I know arent cutting edge but I think may be good enough for high/ultra settings on civ and starcraft II (I think?)
