LAN Stability

I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on LAN game stability. I've heard that online multiplayer is still pretty unstable, but I haven't seen any threads about LAN games.

Was fine for me with two players once they'd patched it. I found the lack of AI diplomacy killed my desire to play it though.
