Limit of missionaries ?

In my current game, i just discovered and founded islamism
I would like to mass produce some missionaries but
after 3 or so, i can't produce anyfor some time. Why is that ?

To confirm your suspicion, there is a limitation of 3 missionaries per religion.

First of all, you're in the wrong forum.

After you first produce your 3 missionaries, you must build a Monastery (Or a temple? Haven't played Civ4 in a while) to pop out more missionaries.
