Need Help as Finland

Can Somebody give advice on how to proceed with finland in WWII?
I have historal events on. I have just completed the first war with russia.
i captured St.Petersburg, but my navy was destroyed in the process.
Any advice would be appreciated

Even though this post is over two months old, I'll answer it.

Here's some advice for a new game as Finland.

Finland is a difficult nation to play as because it doesn't have any UUs. I just built up a large stack of artillery and besieged the city. I also built up a large force of fighters and bombers to destroy nearby units. You, however, always have to be building more aerial units as they're always getting shot down.
Also, I captured Tallinn to the south by dropping of a small force of marines. I wouldn't station any important units in Tallinn or Leningrad unless you know they are secure.
Another bit of advice - take Murmansk and Karelia so Russian units can't harass your troops or bomb your oil well.
If you ever get to the Continuation war, bomb Russian cities to the south, the Germans may capture the cities and distract the Russian troops.
Also, set as many cities to research, as the Russians' have fairly good technological capabilities.

Four months later than the last post, my advice is to play on open play. You may not even go to war with Russia.
