No Multiplayer anymore??'

Hello, I have been out of multiplayer for a while. I tried today to join the Internet Lobby for multiplayer game using Civ4: Beyond the Sword but it showed each time a message indicating that it wasn't able to connect with the server. After several attempts, I directed myself to the gamespyid.com and it doesn't work anymore. I read that they get out of business. Then I started researching civfanatics forums and some people was talking about a Steam patch to continue playing multiplayer... but if I click for Updates at my Civ4, it says there's no updates available...

So, is multiplayer for Civ4 dead or what?

Gayspy got closed 1 year ago.
To get steam patch buy game on steam.
That patch makes u be able to access new version of lobby (one without chat and with limitation of 4 players per game).

There are also other ways to play multiplayer, people are organizing on gayvolve and in unofficial gayspy clone.
What kind of games are u looking for?
No noobs teamers 3v3/5v5 are played every evening on gayvolve/gsclone, but ffa kind of games are rare there, and there are more of these on steam (though not very many).
