Figured it's better to do this as a poll, rather than an elimination thread, so here we go: a poll on which leaders' hats you like most!

I based the names off of my list in this thread, and since I could only put 30 entries into a poll, I had to cut out the following entries I otherwise would've kept in:

Now this is the kind of content I signed up for! I would certainly be up for a hat elimination thread.

I would say that Harald has my favorite hat, because it serves all the purposes he needs. You can tell from the position of Harald's hat how he is feeling, it's simple. Hat off, you get to live, for now. But when his hat is on, he means business. His hat communicates everything you need to know about an angry Viking.

I've decided I'm throwing down a vote for Kupe's Hair Tie. @kryat's rule of thumb is a good one, and honestly that hair tie is doing a lot for Kupe - not that he would look bad without it! - just that he looks great with his hair tied up.

And with that, here's the current standings for the top three placements

If this thread gets some more traction I'll ask about making it an elimination thread, especially since we haven't had one in a while (unless a new one gets posted as I'm typing this). Feel free to discuss with each other what we think of each headwear, why some should be placed higher or lower, etc. For example - do we think Victoria's Crown should be higher up? I'll admit it looks a bit boring, but it's based off the very real George IV State Diadem, which is a nice level of detail that I think should earn it a higher placing.
