I randomly rolled this jungle isolation map. The worldbuilder file is attached. This description is not much of a spoiler, players will quickly realise it is what it is. The difference is that this one is a lot more manageable and stress-free. Some of us like FarmVille or SimCity, we don't want stress.

LOL. I can't check the save since I am on vacation, but if there is more fish up there in the north by the stone, I am going there. ^_^

In hindsight, that last Hannibal map probably needed an Immortal save. As for stress... if we aren't so tuned in so hard to just winning and instead focus on just having fun, there is no need for stress. The only thing stressing about this game is when you lose 99.8% odds battles like how @Henrik75 showed us.

850BC on immortal:

SIP. work boat -> worker and BW right away. Then hunting -> AH, second city 3t north. Decided to go for pyramids and ignoring GLH. I actually recorded from T22 onwards and maybe will upload it today. Something funny happened. A barb archer took my second city. I lost my first warrior very early in the north and was delayed with fogbusting the desert. barbs kept coming and I lost my second city. But few turns later barb city wanted to join my empire lol. He had also pillaged my sheep pasture, but that pasture was "restored" after he joined my empire. Stopped recording at pyramids 850BC. Late date and was lucky to get it I think.

Spoiler :
I died in the BCs, as is my custom. I tried to gamble with warriors: how large can an isolation island really be? Well turns out it can be quite large... And the jungle did not look too inviting either I must say. Where are the riverside gems and the pigs? The second city 3N can run a ton of Mids specialists, but other than that you won't get a lot of the rivers until much later. Might be better to stay small and leave the north until Optics. But there are tons of Barbarians. Quite challenging map, for me anyways.
If I was to retry it obviously I'd go Archery immediately after discovering no copper and horses. You'd need at least three early Archers to feel safe to go Mids I think. Also the little land tongue in the bottom right that isn't fogbusted cost me an early Warrior to station down there, which is a hefty price.

Deity barbs must have been crazy on this map. It wasn't too bad on immortal but I managed to lose a city, only to have it revolt back to me shortly after. Two rice and one horse in the north. No banana or happiness stuff either. It's a huge area with absolutely nothing but jungle
