Tried to search but not sure what else to call this problem. I was starting my third game when I decided to build a guard tower first, before even a house. I wanted to look for the best place to put my four houses. I upgraded it twice but as I went to upgrade a third time the cursor changed to move house and it went back to an empty space. It still looks like a tower but when I rest my cursor on it the popup is "Homeless 0 Unhappy" with the click choices being "Change Job" and "Move House." There are 4 or 5 guys who are wandering my screen and appear/disappear intermittently. A couple of bubbles even popped up with food and science. The white block/arrow paths are bouncing around randomly as I rest on the tower/house.
Seems to clear up when I moved the house/tower and built a 4 real houses but the initial upgraded production was lost.
