When will we have a map generator that can create space maps?

I've been waiting for a random map generator that includes space terrain ever since the space rework started. It has been years. Is anyone making a map generator that includes space terrain beyond the out of date Three Planets mapscript? (I already know about the handcrafted space maps. I want randomized ones.)

Not until multimaps. Maybe someone could do one for the setup we have now but I think we're still trying to fully master that and the complexity of such a script would be tremendous.

We don't want space and earth maps to be on the same map, but two, or more, distinct maps that can be switched between in a game.

Don't think anyone wants to spend the amount of effort needed to make such a earth+space mapscript that may become obsolete and wasted time the moment multimaps is introduced.
