Wierd Marathon score

My recent game gave me a base score of 28 even though I won an Independence victory with 34 FF and nine colonies. All the other European powers had a considerably higher score in spite of the fact that I had captured and ransacked each of their colonies before returning them shortly before I declared Independence.

However my 'Randomised' score was a massive 9077.

I haven't played a marathon game before, is it usual to get that kind of discrepancy in the scores?

This was played on vanilla with patch at Revolutionary level.
