[BtS] Rise of Mankind

Bug in Patch RoM Some times i can create the church of navarity and sometimes i cant I just started a New game I founded christianity but i can Not construct the Church with my religion leader this sucks!!
Please look into this.
This is Not the first time last nights game i could build any religion founded churches.Bug please fix.

@xbeanerx

I guess your last message is not for me. I didn't touch buildings by any means. I however noticed the same thing in one of my games. In my case I had another shrine already in the city. It happened to be the holy city of two religions. When I tried to build the other shrine the icon was dimmed. Now this might be intentional. I think Zappara would tell us that. (I can't see something in the XML files).

One Request Please I will Be for ever gratefull Please can you install Emperor yamamoto for Japan and hitler leader with the waffen SS soldiers and the Nazi Infantry ...Please .....Please?

I see that you are already aware of the module mod Nazi Germany. You can add it to Rise of Mankind easily. Extract the file somewhere. Maybe in Beyond the Sword/mods folder. Go inside the Nazi Germany folder and copy folder "assets" go to Rise of Mankind and paste the folder. The Nazi Germany is added to the game that is it.

Remember that you must enable modular loading for this to work. To do so go to My Documents/My Games/Beyond the Sword open CivilizationIV.ini (it will open in notepad). Find the line that says ModualrLoading = 0 and change 0 to 1.

(Hint to find the line click the "edit" menu then "find" and write ModularLoading in the text box and hit find next - It will take you to the line).

I tried just reinstalling the patch and it worked fine. Maybe I was too tired the night afore.

BTW, I added the non-module Hitler and Hirohito heads, as well as several other modules (Poland and Israel for one).

Modules are awesome. I can't wait for more to come out.

I didn't try to install it myself before I posted earlier so after reading this and to make sure that I am not giving some wrong advice I installed the Nazi Germany mod and guess what? It works man! I started a game with Hitler and the swastika flag and all. Now please make sure you follow the instructions exactly. Open the Rise of Mankind folder go to assets and make sure that a folder there is named modules. If it is there make sure that you changed CivilizationIV.ini as I told you to enable modular loading. This is all it takes for this to work.

Now if you do it and it works for you I promise that I will go get the SS Walffen unit and maybe other WWII German units as well in a patch for this module. (Modules are good for you can actually use them with any mod and you can combine many of them together so try to learn how to use them they can make you a happy Civ Gamer). :D

I will do as you ask master "joda"May the force be with you!!:crazyeye:

Well, i'm not really aware about the uses on that forum but ... For me posting every 3 minuts is FLOODING. :o

Not that you're not welcome Xbeanerx, but please stop the "pollution". The topic has grown about 2 pages with your posts and that only to repeat you want Nazi soldiers and you (or your parents according to your behaviour) have millions of dollars to spend in your computer.

Modders aren't servants, they do what they can, when they can, and they have a life near that. Flooding won't make the work go faster, and more, that's pages of useless posts that everybody has to read.

Stop Flooding  !

Hi.
I've been thinking and wondered if you could make the "religious wonders" that you can build in the city of thats religion to a non-wonder?
It's just so freaking annoying when you have builded some wonders then you can't build those moneymachines:/

You read me, but you do not want to understand it.

You ask something, and if nobody answers you ask again 5 minuts later. That's taking someone for a servant.

Your attitude is so childish that i wouldn't give you more than 14 years old.

Then Zappara reads everything here, and to me writting dozens of posts on your life is not showing any respect to him and his work. That topic is aimed at improvements/bugs/ideas etc ... about the mod, nothing else.

Then for other users it becomes a pain to find the "useful" posts with valuable informations between your flood. You're not showing any respect for the other members at all.
Remember that a forum isn't a private chat.

And thank you for remaining polite ... As*hole as you said ...

To get back on tracks ... Agreed about the holy cities, it shouldn't be a wonder ;)

Finally got to having a full fledged WWII tech level war without the PC crashing, and just noticed :-

The Heavy Tank M26 starts with the usual tanky-blitz promotion, but only gets 1 move per turn so this seems pretty redundant.

Am I missing something?

First of all , zappara , great job ! I am playing with the latest version of RoM + Kalimarkhus' patch and it's great fun (especially since I'm new to the Civ games, allthough I have played Galcivs in the past ) .
Bugs: well, like somebody else said , the city screen has a problem of sorts - the + and - signs for the specialists are not next to the icon they should be - for example the ones for the citizen are below the citizen icon , so they are next to nothing.

About crashes - I have played a few games , most ending at the start of the industrial era after some nasty wars but I have managed to get one game as far as right before the modern era . I have experienced one crash while checking some things in the civpedia (the Galley if I remember correctly) and a couple of crashes while loading new maps but a game restart solved them .The only in-game crash I had was once after creating some crusaders but , again , a re-load solved the problem.

As for future ideas - here's what I had in mind - I think the transition to "currency" is too ... fast in the game .Maybe you could add some techs that need currency and some resources - for example

Currency -> basic coins (need copper) -> valuable coins (need gold and/or silver) and they each give some extra trade revenue + maybe extra food from animals and farms because farmers would work harder to be given coins from the landlord or leader or whatever(and maybe valuable coins give one more trade-route per city or something)

Also , Currency + Paper -> Drafts (which give more food from farms/animals/fishing again because they were given also to farmers and such for their work) -> Bills (same thing but this also gives more trade revenue per town )

Bills + Plastics - > Modern Polymer Bills (same benefits - more revenue and maybe 1 more trade-route)

And then Bills + Plastics + Computers -> Credit Cards which give +1 happiness because people can buy stuff faster and with less hassle and maybe faster production of any unit because it's easier to pay for them now

And after researching valuable coins and bills maybe you could get a world wonder like Fort Knox or a natinal wonder like State Bank or something where people keep money and you get interest (so greater revenue from each city).

And something about promotions (you have some of this stuff on the to-do list under events but I think it would be cooler if you added them as promotions) - for wooden ships -> Grapeshot - > Chainshot - > Bombs (each give more damage against naval units ) and for early gunpowder units (like the musketeer ) you could also add Grapeshot (more damage against melee) . Modern units (infantry mostly) could also have an upgrade of this kind - for example explosive bullets (more damage against pretty much everything not mechanic ) and AT units could have a promotion like Sticky-bombs (good against mechanized units) .

Thanks again for your time and dedication to this mod !

P.S:If any of my suggestions have been made in another mod , then excuse me but like I said I'm new to the Civ games .

Later edit: Another thing I was thinking - an idea for a new national wonder - the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - most (if not all ) modern countries have something like this and the game doesn't (as far as I know - Ok there's the Statue of the Champion but that's really and ancient wonder whereas the TotUS would be available somewhere after WW1 ) .

Probably the biggest reason i registered to this website was just to give you 2 big thumbs up on this mod!

:goodjob: :goodjob:

My 1st game playing I had ivory right next to my capital so I hurried up & did a elephant rider rush on my southern border civ. By the time i finished them off my northern border civ had a army of spearmen just waiting for me. I'm about a 1/3 way through the game now & I must say the new units, buildings, etc... has made the bts a lot funner to play.

Only 1 suggestion I would love to see - more random events. Random events brings a whole new element to the game your playing & imo a lot more flavor

(edit: the post above me has a pretty good idea. The evolution of currency)
