there are the last 5, I will be back this afternoon to fill in some of the blanks from individual questions this afternoon of 9-16-2010. I hope the info provided so far will be enough to chew on till then, ENJOY!

Wait so do minutemen get their bonus everywhere or just within their own empire?

120 hammers
gunpowder
combat 16
moves 2
all tiles cost one move
prereq gunpowder
obsolete with rifiling
replace musketman

That's all it really says that I can see.

Are they saying anything about requiring resources or not, because that was a big deal for some of the UU's.

YES, some do. Here is a quick breakdown of what I can see with required resources;

Ballista requires Iron while Catapult has no required resource
Companion Calvary requires Horses like Horsemen it replaces
Legion requires Iron like Swordsman
Mohawk Warrior requires Iron like Swordsman
Camel Archer requires Horses like Knight
Mandekalu Calvary requires Horses like Knight
Samurai requires Iron like Longswordsman
Cossack requires Horses like Calvary
Ship of the Line requires Iron like Frigate
Sipahi requires Horses like Lancer
Panzer requires Oil like Tank
Zero requires Oil like Fighter
B17 requires Oil like Bomber

Here are UU that have no required resource, check me to see if i have any ommosions;

Hoplite
Immortal
Jaguar
War Chariot
War Elephant
Chu-Ko-Nu
Landsknecht
Longbowman
Naresuan's Elephant-(charts show no required resource, i believe this to be true because Ivory is listed as a Luxury resorce and not a Strategic resource and also wouldnt require Horses like the Knight it replaces)
Janissary
Minuteman
Muskateer
Foreign Legion

let me know if i have missed any

I'm pretty certain the guide is wrong on that point. Trebuchets definitely require iron. I'm fairly certain it's been said that catapults do to.

YES, correction, Catapults DO require Iron. Ommision in quick list but requirement present in Unit Description

For UUs/UBs that don't replace anything, can you please tell us the prerequisite tech? I think this is just Paper Maker and Longhouse so far. Thanks!

I personally would also appreciate an exact comparison of the paper maker and library.

Paper Maker: cost-80 Maint.-1 culture-0 effect: +1 science for every 2 citizen in thia city, +4 gold
Library: cost-80 Maint.-1 culture-0 effect: +1 science for every 2 citizens in this city

both require writing and both open a slot for a scientist specialist and of course Paper Maker is unique to China and i se no replaced builing

Longhouse still says:

Replaces: None

And there's nothing in the description or commentary about the Longhouse that suggests it replaces an existing building:
"These forests continue to improve throughout the game, as Lumber Mills and later technologies add even more Production to them..."

Well what is its cost/tech requirements.

The 'transport" question was asking how fast embarked units moved.

Longhouse

Cost: 80 Production
Maintenance: 1
Culture: None
Comment: +1 Production from each worked Forest tile.
Replaces: None
Prerequisite Technology: Metal Casting
Becomes Obsolete: N/A

BTW, Military Academy equalling +15 xp corrects the typo (apparently) from earlier that it gave +15% morale...

The Siamese UB seems pretty disappointing if you don't get the jungle bonus. :(

what happens when Cossacks (UU-Cossak-replaces Calvary-Damaged enemy bonus "they do enhanced damage when attacking wounded enemies.) attack wounded Japanese units (Benefit-Bushido-UNITS FIGHT AT FULL STRENGTHEVEN WHEN DAMAGED!!!)?

do the Cossacks get thier bonus? or does the Japanese UA of having units always fight as if at full health negate it? I am curious to see how that interacts.

That's not how Japan's bonus works. Japan's bonus means that units will deal full damage when wounded. The amount of damage taken is not affected.

All Songhai has to do is build a MPM in each city to get the same UA as the French: 2 extra culture per city. Actually, it's better since it doesn't expire at Steam Power.

However it isn't Available until Philosoply, and requires a hammer investment.

I am sorry if this question has been asked already but, How much will it cost to purchase the Babylonia civ off of steam? And are there going to be other steam download possibilities?

We have no idea, IF we can purchase later (and then to which price). And that's not really what this thread is about ;).

@ltarmstrong3: I think i accidentally deleted something in the first post, could you please take a look at it again?
