    CIV6 Civs and Leaders

I wonder how I missed your post. And just rolling with what I already said if Firaxis would choose to abandon the traditional leader system I think it be interesting to introduce a "King unit" like from Civ 3, but has special abilities. We could then have regicide and assassinations.

    CIV6 Civs and Leaders

This is just a thought, but is playing as a historical leader of a civilization really necessary? This most likely will never happen in civ 6 but my thinking was players would have a greater immersion being the leader of the civilization just playing as the civilization itself. This can solve...

    Sid Meier's Civilization VI announced!

LOL. Yeah I was thinking the same thing. If it actually turns out to be great I'll save for the Gold edition.

    No more 1UPT/"Support" units

If workers are removed I want to see combat engineers as support units to build roads, forts, airfields and the like.

    Is Civilization forever dead?

I've played Civ 2, Civ 3, Civ 4, and Civ 5. Each one of them has something about them that makes them great individually, and each has their flaws. I didn't care much for Civ 5 either and personally I found most enjoyment and still do with Civ 3. Remember no one is forcing you to purchase Civ 6...

    Sid Meier's Civilization VI announced!

I'm curious why you would limit yourself to believing an Economic victory would be limited to just how much money you should have to achieve it. If anything I propose having a set amount of money in your coffers, how good your GNP/GDP is , and the percentage of influence in the world economy...

    Sid Meier's Civilization VI announced!

Really depends if Firaxis can do it right. Personally never really liked the idea of of worker units. If anything I always thought citizens from the city screen should be improving the landscape. I wonder with workers possibly gone we will see combat engineers or sappers as support units for...

    Sid Meier's Civilization VI announced!

Exactly what I was thinking. They may be "screenshots" but I don't see any UI. If anything it looks like a concept then the final product.

    The district system

First thought I had is if cities can occupy multiple tiles maybe we can have an East Berlin West Berlin situation. It also makes sense to have cities occupy multiple tiles considering the large cities that exist right now.

    Sid Meier's Civilization VI announced!

Kind of random but I hope they include a decent map editor like civ 3.

Civ 6 idea - What about simply getting rid of tiles?

I have actually thought about this as well in years past, but my thinking was how could Civilization implement some use to rivers for units when rivers are between tiles. I would totally support it and like people have said it would work for having a perfect spherical map compared to using tiles...

    Not excited...... not one bit

I never understood why Firaxis got rid of the army unit from civ 3. I believe the concept for creating 1upt was just for the sake of avoiding large stacks of units. I think that was a lazy approach to solve the problem. But anyway I see no reason for all these complex ideas of dividing the tile...

    Beyond Earth Factions

I never played SMAC but, having factions based on ideology or some philosophy looked really interesting. Games like SMAC potentially have some meaning behind it even if it isn't obvious. Most of these factions sound silly if you ask me. Hopefully theirs a good background story to them. I would...

    'Civilization: Beyond Earth' announced!

A quick disclaimer and let me apologize for not being clear by "old school." I've played Civilization 2 through 4. But since the the release of Civ 5 I have chosen not to play any Civilization games since. Ultimate reason maturity and time engagement when it comes to playing games. I have payed...

    'Civilization: Beyond Earth' announced!

Its been years since I've used this account, surprised if I even remembered the password. Anyway I'm cautiously curious but I love science fiction and strategy games. Though I have to say from being an old school Civilization player no squares? Gosh what ever happened to longitude and latitude...
