Nah with civ it isnt your card as much as your ram and cpu. I have a radeon 9250 and 1gig and i can play civ fine. So i doubt you have a spec issue. Also use blue marble highres so i dont see how people could worry about specs with this game.
Man, in the past 2 years of playing i havnt finished a single game at all. I cant seem to bother continuing a game from one day to the next, i lose interest. Havnt been to the modern era once either.
Lots of land there for the easy taking. Why is your capital only pop2 so late in the game? Should be alot bigger than that.
Grow capital. Chop settlers. You got lots forest that you havnt touched!
I got no problem playing this game on a 6 year old HP with a Radeon9250 and 1 gig of ram. I dont see how a 1 year old computer could ever have a problem.
I wouldnt change your speed, really there isnt much of a difficulty change. Most say marathon is easier but i find normal alot easier for tech and such. If marathon is too easy militarily then agg AI will make your games super fun. I would lower the map size though simply for time and fun...
Well the only way your getting plains incense is if its in your starting BFC. I upped incense by one commerce since that city will ussually have lots of desert and it atleast makes deserts less annoying. I really hate desert, especially when its blotchy desert mixed in with grass and such...and...
i Find culture victory the hardest. I play marathon and 150k culture just seems soo far away that i ussually abandon going for cultural around 500-1000AD. Ive made serious attempts with Pacal II and Mansa Musa. Kinda going for a religious economy/diplomacy strategy to carry my way to culture...
^lol. I wouldnt use the first couple gp to start a golden age though. The more tiles you work(more cities/largerempire) the more you gain from a golden age.
