I've searched the thread but found nothing (but it's a big thread, so I could have missed this). I find units set to auto-hunt that get injured sometimes then run back and forth between two forts, as if they want to heal up but can't quite decide which fort to use. Of course they then don't heal...
Venus may be more pertinent - you would probably not attempt to colonise the surface of Jupiter (even if it exists) rather than float above, but the surface of Venus is definitely there. The pressure is a mere 1/10 that of the Mariana Trench, but the 100 m/s winds and 750K temperatures make it a...
That would certainly push it back a bit and allow some techs to go into Transhuman to compensate. (Although commercially is not always the test; I don't think anyone has yet let off a nuke commercially; but I think what you mean is more that it should be reasonably commonplace in the relevant...
This suggestion stems from a discussion in the bugs thread, but it became about "not-bug" topics so I'm reproducing it here.
I think some of the technologies on the Modern/Transhuman jump are oddly positioned; this is particularly awkward because the science requirements for the first...
I suppose this may be by design and not a bug, but the Submerged Town improvement can (SVN 9092) be built in Coast and Ocean spaces, but not Sea spaces. I wonder if perhaps this predates the intermediate Sea spaces being added?
You say that, but other "Modern" techs are very cutting edge stuff which no-one had heard of in 1991 - and particularly which are clearly later developments than Flash memory (I had a CF card in my Psion Series 5 last century) and Wikis.
Of course, C2C can't change the tech tree every month...
Some Transhuman background music is also disproportionately loud.
Also, I realise this sort of question is always slightly tricky, but I was surprised to find Flash Memory and Online Community in the Transhuman tech, especially given that some of the final Modern techs are very cutting-edge...
I had the opposite problem. If I could see one, I soon worked out how to kill it. But given messages about one that I couldn't see or dispose of by covering the city in coppers, what then?
I am, but in this thread, I'm trying to describe what did mystify me whether or not it still mystifies me, to suggest C2C Concepts entries.
That said, I got on top of the different invisibility flavours and (being Top Nation, so presumably able to match the AI) built maxed-out spotting units...
As some of you know, I've recently been playing up to the Modern era; I've just reached the point of cognitive dissonance because things are (correctly) Modern when I still think of them as living in the future because we didn't have any of this steam locomotive, er, iPad nonsense when I was...
I've seen that. Kind of absurd when it's a helicopter gunship. "All I'm saying is perhaps it'll distract them falling about laughing and then we can shoot them from the chopper."
Sorry. I'm playing the final v36 SVN, 9020, to not break my save. If reports from that aren't useful, do say, but I was led to understand few Modern-era reports exist at all.
