I sure hope it turn out to be a winner! I had lots of fun playing the original plus its expansion! :D
Ah well, those good old Microprose days where I never miss any of the game with the name Mircroprose on it! Starting from the first F15 Strike Eagle on an Apple II+ that is. ;)
I think the problem is not so much of CPU. I remember when I first installed BtS I had the same problem but after applying the latest patch it become much more playable. And my machine was not upgraded since 2002 except increasing RAM. ;)
I am still waiting for a quotation from my hardware...
But isn't this how it was in history? I mean the colonial army did not win because of a prolonged war but instead they win by way of ambush and hit and run. (as oppose to the European style of march and fight face to face the so called gentleman way ;) )
Except of course in the game if you...
I don't think there is a way to adjust the price collapse in current version of FreeCol (o.7.3). I suppose if you post this at SourceForge the feature might be included in 0.8.0 :)
As to the original, I don't think there is a way either. But I don't remember the prices moving up & down as...
Ah, I post it under the same name in SourceForge but not as a separate post but as a response to a post called Bugs in 0.7.3 :)
I guess I will work on something then maybe email it to one of the developers. Thanks for the information!
@Toni : I have posted on SourceForge mentioning that I may be able to contribute towards the graphic department of FreeCol but first I need to find a place where I can attach or upload any work that I do. The trouble is you cannot attach a file in SourceForge except at the tracker which is...

Oh, I forget, I usually whack the second largest Civ and take his city and pop as mine. :p ;)
Good to see that finally someone IS starting to contribute to the list eventhough is has been one month since I started the thread> :p
Keep them coming, guys! ;)
Ahem...the specialist created can do alot of things. ;) Besides milking for gold it can also be for knowledge. And I am sure whoever own a city like can have 5 others that are specializing in producing hammer. ;)
Frankly, open border usually applies to trade and culture AND troops passing through to attack another nation. Definitely not like in Civ (be it III or IV) where the AI unit will start to wonder around your land as if like they have nothing better to do! :P In CivIII at least its because the...
True. But with the forest and what not in CivIV I still find it much harder to see the railroad. One thing I misses sorely is the easy ability to mod the railroad graphic like in CivIII. We have so many choices for railroad in CivIII: Straight, Circular, less messy and easier on the eyes. :)...
Hmmm...not too sure about Vanilla but in BtS at the Top 5 screen you have like a small drop down menu on the left that list all the wonders and when you select it and click on a wonder it will tell you where it is or who is currently building it. :)
#42: When people on this forum tell you how wonderful and good CivIV is and how it is the best game around, don't trust them even if half of the population of the forum say so! Never trust what a fanatic (or a thousand fanatics for that matter) says! ;) However, would strongly suggest you to...
