i got extorted 3 times in total. among them 2 used world maps alone to exchange for communism and sanitary. i counter proposed and trade maps to maps instead. nothing bad happened...
i had a feeling that mp required on enemy ground is doubled, so u lose mp while attacking on enemy grounds. but if opponent is on ur ground, u still have the multiple attack working. i might be wrong thou...
2 successful defense will put a reg to vet, the third one puts it to elite. works the same way for ai units. so if u are not sure of winning the ai infantry always try attacking with a fast unit. can bring down a few life pts b4 using s fresh unit to kill it. even if the fast units(horsemen...
i think the indians are real potential threats if u started far away from them. they are fast in techs, quite aggressive at times and mean at other times. they declared war on me everytime another civ fights me for no reasons, without mmp wadsoever. and they already had same amount of ironclads...
faraway cities usually will not flip if u have enuff troops. i guessed they flipped when u are fighting the war for too long(longer than 6 turns). i sent 42 calvary+rifleman units to the persian continent(yeah, they are alone on that one with ard 30 cities), took 4 cities in a single turn of the...

usually u can ask for a peace treaty after the war goes for 5 turns. in this case u can always be the aggressor, take a few cities, and declare cease fire after 5 turns. after that u rest and replendish units, start aggession again. dont think war weariness will hurt much in this way.
