I finally finished Dune about a week ago. Great story but not an easy book, this was my 3rd attempt. Herbert has created an intricate world but I had to first read the appendices before starting the story. Particularly the worm life cycle I had to get from the appendix.

Sims 3 is such a great game. Open world, so many things that you can do without feeling it's a bunch of mini-games stitched together and lots of stylizing options. I never bothered to buy the sims 4.

Really sad news. Col. Edward Shames, the last surviving officer of Easy Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division died December 3rd. Easy company was of course made famous by the band of brothers miniseries. Bradford Freeman is now the only living member of easy company.
