Disc check has been removed for BtS, as mentioned above. If you're referring to copy protection as in, being able to make a copy of the disc, then that is part of the disc itself and no software patch is going to alter that. And there really is nothing wrong with that.

No. The retail version being sold in Australia is just Civ 4 + Warlords + BtS.

Ah I see so this is what is meant by a dual install? And does the second copy just share the My Games\Civ 4 directory no problem for those extra files?

The only way I've been able to find this out is by going into the diplomacy screen with them - up the top beside the name it shows the icons for their civics which you can mouse over. Something better would be appreciated if I'm missing another option though. In multiplayer I don't want to...

Yeah I realised this while I was sitting on a bus half an hour later and incapable of accessing the forums to delete my idiocy and replace it with an inconspicuous 'ooops, double post' entry :( Damn you, Mr Brain.

As a side note, I noticed my guys crossing rivers on roads and maintaining the extra movement - before Engineering. Is this is a HoF mod thing?
