Playing Germany I early on took a phanteneon (spelling?) named sacred waters for 1+ happiness on rivers. Some time after that I founded Protestantism and the tithies for 1+ gold for every 4th follower and then peace gardens for happiness 2+.
I´m trying for a cultural victory and realised the...
So right after hitting industrial age and being pumped for ages with open border/dof/embassy requests the ai suddenly felt it was fed up with me and started to denounce me. Started with a few and then in just a matter of turns the whole world hade pretty much denouced me.
I have understood...
Alright, It was as I suspected then :(
Although I can manage without tanks in the scenario it was a great part of my "Europe-invasion" strategy.
I guess I´ll have to live with it then.
Thanks anyway for good replies!
Hello everyone!
Hope you could help me on this one since I´m in the late industrial age when the game errors and have put much time and joy into this scenario.
Background: I´m playing an edited Marla´s Europe map. Everything works fine but it seems I took one step to much when I tried to...
I like to play historical maps and especially maps depicting Europe.
But a problem that occur from time to time is when the map starts to be crowded, yet the Ai has an indefinite need to build more cities. This results in the Ai sending away settlers half across the map to some empty tundra...
Hmm, intresting as that could be in line with my observations if with "not able to" is meaning that it was edited out. Because as with railroads, they have in theory the ability to build it, but will for practical reasons never do because of the dummy resource. But then I also edited out and...
So I started up a game on Marla Singers Europe map. I had made a few minor changes as creating Denmark as a civ and took away railroad (through demanding a dummy resource to build it). This worked fine and the game went on as expected.
However I then tried to mod out the worker action "clear...
I thought of that idea, but would´t it mean that the Ai instead will tie up a lot of workers trying to clear forest if I for example set it to 500 turns or something? Or will the Ai ignore options that cost a ridicolus amount of time/turns?
The main idea is that I want to keep the maps...
So I started up a game on Marla´s Europe map. Playing as Denmark (modded in) things were going fine and I conquered Scandinavia, sweet...
Being noobish I built the great library and went 100% moneypicking until Education would be researched by the Ai, and this is were things seemed strange as...
Thanks Kaibayashi, that should drag down the number of files I should be looking through then.
But do you or anyone else happend to know which files that might intterupt or handle the connection between king and colony? The only one so far that I´ve found is the civilizationinfo.xml but...
Alright so I made some testing and had some conclusions not yet solutions.
As Russia is already within the mod I started toying with the idea to remake them. So I simply put them on the ozzy's America map. No problems there except for that they had none king at all!
It seemed out of this first...
Where can i find the civilization.xml file? made a search and the closest was AoFDMod_CIV4ArtDefines_Civilization and AoFDMod_CIV4CivilizationInfos. None simply nammed civilization.xml :(
Although a great mod I find it very confusing learning how to mod within the AoDII. There are multiple...
In which file/files to you "connect" your colony with the king? or is it managed in another way?
Because I modded in a danish king and put info about him pretty much in every file I changed for my danish colony. So seems to me I either forgot to put him in some file or if info should be added...
Well I think I really managed to add Denmark to the mod! Yay for me :)
However it ain't over until the fat lady sings and so even I still have a few troubles to solve.
Firstly, For some reason Champlain has become my european king. It says "Champlain - Champlain" when I look above his picture...
