Similiar thing happened with G&K release. it didint go on sale on steam i think, but on many sites it was 33% off couple days after release. So this time i didint pre-order as i was expecting something like this to happen.

The reason i put my academies on lux was that i tought it would connect it and i diidnt really need the extra production or gold, my goal was to make my city as big as possible, so i didin't want to loose any food. Of course now that i realize it didin't connect the lux it was dumb to do it.
