If you are playing with the last "stable" release there are a few gotchas. The Mechanos civ is one of the worst ones. I would suggest you disable them in the options so that neither you nor the a.i. plays them.

Posted a while back that I was having issues playing on Linux with wine. I can now report that I have got it running better on Linux/wine than I had it running previously on Windows 10. This was the latest official release, I'm now going to try the latest SVN and see if that works as well.

I've noticed this in 14.11. Sidar mist, once it gets established, can't be gotten rid of, even if another civ takes ownership of the tile. The wind spell will dispel it temporarily, but it will come back.

Full disclosure, I have run games with as many as 40+ civs. Those tend to get dicey, especially in the late game, but they are usually playable.

With the old really good game I was playing on 14.11 I was able to go back a few turns, do things a bit differently, and it seems to be working fine now. I do have a question though. With the SVN version, I should be changing the mod folder name to "Ashes of Erebus", should I not?

What I need to do is log the errors and see if I can figure out exactly what's going on. I just haven't done that yet. OR Wait for an update to magically fix the problem. That sometimes works as well... :)
